With a strong reputation for delivering specialist services on behalf of the NHS and the legal system, they are looking for a Team Manager to oversee their Neurodevelopmental Assessment Service in Huddersfield.

Job Purpose
The Team Manager will play a key role in the day-to-day management of a busy neurodevelopmental assessment service, ensuring high-quality Autism and ADHD assessments for individuals referred via NHS Patient Choice and GP referrals.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing a multidisciplinary team including Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Paediatricians, and Assistant Psychologists.
- Ensuring the smooth running of the service, acting as the first point of contact for operational and clinical matters.
- Overseeing clinical cases to ensure each assessment is led by an appropriate clinician, progressing efficiently with clear treatment plans.
- Monitoring service performance, contracts, and local KPIs, ensuring high-quality, timely assessments.
- Providing leadership and mentorship, supporting new team members in their transition and professional development.
- Identifying and resolving clinical and operational issues, including case reallocation and clinician availability.
- Contributing to clinical governance and quality improvement, ensuring assessments meet best-practice standards.
- Escalating service issues and working closely with senior leadership to develop solutions.
- Identifying training needs and supporting ongoing professional development for the team.
- Contributing to service development, enhancing processes and resources to improve efficiency and clinical quality.
- This role is ideal for a clinical professional with strong leadership skills, looking to step into a dynamic management position within a well-respected neurodevelopmental service.
Requirements
- Candidates must be one of the following:
- HCPC registered Practitioner Psychologist, Speech and Language Therapist, or Occupational Therapist.
- NMC registered Nurse.
- Experienced Neurodevelopmental Practitioner with specialist training.
In addition, you will need:
- Experience conducting Autism and ADHD assessments for children and/or adults.
- Experience working with neurodevelopmental disorders or mental health difficulties in a clinical setting.
- Knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and standardised assessment tools for Autism and ADHD.
- ADOS-2/ADI-R training (QB training desirable).
- Strong experience in team leadership or service management within a clinical setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
