Role: Speech & Language Therapist – Paediatrics (Mainstream Schools)
Location: Across mainstream schools in Croydon
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, term time only.
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: NHS Band 5, 6 or 7 (dependent on experience)

Your role
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate Speech and Language Therapist to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children across Croydon. You’ll be responsible for:
- Providing assessment, diagnosis and intervention for children with speech, language and communication needs in mainstream schools
- Supporting pupils with EHCPs through tailored therapy and regular reviews
- Developing and implementing individualised treatment plans
- Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, parents and external professionals
- Offering training and guidance to education staff and families to support continued development
- Travelling across various school sites within the borough
About you
- HCPC-registered Speech & Language Therapist
- Experience supporting children in mainstream school environments
- Sound clinical knowledge of developmental speech and language disorders
- Confident in delivering evidence-based interventions
- Strong assessment, diagnostic and report-writing skills
- Effective communicator and team collaborator
- Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to manage a mobile caseload
- Committed to professional development and reflective practice
