Role: Speech & Language Therapist – Paediatrics (Complex Needs)
Location: On-site in Hackney, London
Hours: Full-time or Part-time (term-time only considered)
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: Competitive and dependent on experience (Band 6 or 7 level)

Your role
You’ll work directly with children and young people aged 2–19 with a range of speech, language and communication difficulties, many with complex needs, in a dedicated school setting. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will:
- Deliver evidence-based interventions informed by the Balance Model
- Assess speech, language and communication needs
- Develop and implement individualised therapy plans
- Deliver direct therapy and class-based interventions
- Collaborate with teaching staff and parents/carers
- Provide training and support to school staff and families
- Participate in joint MDT sessions and contribute to goal setting and reviews
About you
- HCPC-registered Speech & Language Therapist
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech and Language Therapy
- Experience working with children or young people with complex communication needs
- Strong assessment and therapy planning skills
- Comfortable working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
- Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills
- Committed to delivering child-centred, functional interventions
