Job Title: Mental Health Nurse (RMN)
Location: North London
Salary: £34,037 per annum (pro rata) + £5,000 welcome bonus + £1,000 annual loyalty bonus
Working Pattern: Full-time or part-time (from 34.5 hours per week)

Overview:

Our client is seeking motivated and compassionate Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMNs) to join a multidisciplinary team at their North London hospital. This is a diverse and rewarding opportunity offering experience across CAMHS, Adult Acute, Addictions and OCD services, within a well-established mental health setting that is committed to delivering exceptional patient care.

This role is ideal for RMNs looking to broaden their clinical experience across several specialist areas with strong MDT support and development pathways.

About the Service:

The hospital offers a range of inpatient services, including:

  • Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS)
  • Adult Acute Mental Health
  • Addictions and Dual Diagnosis
  • Specialist OCD and BDD Treatment

You will work across services based on need, with opportunities to focus on particular specialisms as your role progresses. The team works with both NHS and private patients, with a therapeutic approach rooted in evidence-based models including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred care to individuals with a range of mental health needs
  • Participate in the assessment, planning and implementation of care plans
  • Engage with patients therapeutically while promoting safety and independence
  • Attend daily MDT handovers, ward rounds and CPA meetings
  • Support and mentor junior staff and work collaboratively with the wider clinical team
  • Contribute to maintaining a therapeutic, safe and well-structured environment
  • Apply DBT skills in practice (training and supervision provided)

Requirements:

  • RMN with current NMC registration
  • Previous experience in inpatient mental health (adult or adolescent services) is desirable
  • Strong communication, risk management and engagement skills
  • A flexible, compassionate approach and a desire to make a real difference
  • Willingness to learn and work within specialist areas including OCD, BDD and self-harm
  • Able to contribute to a positive, team-focused culture
