The Organisation

Our client is a rapidly expanding, CQC-registered neurodevelopmental service delivering timely children’s autism assessments within NHS pathways. The service is clinically led and focused on improving access, reducing waiting times, and delivering high-quality, strengths-based outcomes for children and young people.

With significant investment and a growing multidisciplinary workforce, the organisation combines clinical excellence with innovative systems designed to enhance efficiency and reduce administrative burden for clinicians.

Your Role

As part of a multidisciplinary assessment team, you will:

• Deliver high-quality, face-to-face ADOS-2 assessments for children and young people
• Conduct structured child observations as part of a comprehensive autism assessment pathway
• Contribute to MDT diagnostic discussions and formulation
• Provide clear, concise clinical input to support diagnostic reports
• Work in line with safeguarding policies and complete risk assessments where required
• Maintain up-to-date professional registration and CPD

About You

Essential

• Registered with HCPC, NMC or Social Work England
• Professional background as a Speech & Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Nurse (Mental Health or Learning Disability), Psychologist, or Social Worker
• Recognised ADOS-2 training completed (Clinical Psychologists considered without ADOS-2)
• Minimum 1 year’s experience delivering children’s observations within an autism assessment pathway
• Experience working with children aged 2–18 (either specific age band or full range)
• Strong time management and caseload management skills
• Confident, compassionate communication with families

Desirable

• Experience conducting risk assessments within autism services
• Safeguarding training (Level 3 or above)

Why consider this opportunity?

This is an excellent option for clinicians seeking flexible, well-supported sessional work within a structured MDT environment. With the ability to complete 3–5 ADOS assessments per day at £250 each, it offers both autonomy and strong earning potential.

Travel and accommodation support ensure accessibility for clinicians outside the immediate clinic areas, allowing you to focus purely on delivering high-quality, child-centred assessments.
