Salary: £38,700 per annum (dependent on experience) + £5,000 welcome bonus
Additional Benefits:

Working Pattern: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (must be able to work days and nights)

Overview:

Our client is looking for experienced and compassionate Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMNs) to join their dedicated team at a specialist mental health hospital in Cheadle, Greater Manchester. This is a rewarding opportunity to work across specialist units such as PICU, Bespoke Therapeutic Placement, or the Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) unit, providing person-centred care in a multidisciplinary setting.

Available Units:

  • Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
  • Bespoke Therapeutic Placement Unit
  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Unit

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred care in line with patients’ individual needs and recovery goals.
  • Act as a named nurse, supporting a defined group of patients through their treatment journey.
  • Complete assessments, develop care plans and engage in regular evaluations with the wider MDT.
  • Promote and adhere to the DBT model (for DBT unit roles).
  • Take charge of the ward as needed, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Foster clear, compassionate communication with patients, families and colleagues.
  • Participate in quality improvement and governance initiatives to support ongoing service development.

Requirements:

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with active NMC PIN
  • Minimum 6 months post-registration experience in a mental health setting (please note: applications from newly qualified nurses cannot be accepted)
  • Excellent communication, clinical and interpersonal skills
  • Motivated, adaptable and confident working as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • IT literate with experience using electronic patient record systems
  • Strong understanding of NMC standards and clinical best practice
