The role

Our client is a leading international publisher of psychological assessments and training programmes, working with clinicians, academics and educators worldwide to develop tools that shape understanding, diagnosis and intervention in mental health and neurodevelopment.

They are seeking an experienced HCPC Registered Psychologist (or similar) with expertise in autism, ADHD and broader neurodevelopmental assessment to join their UK-based publishing team.

This is a non-clinical, hybrid role that blends psychology, research and publishing. You’ll use your clinical knowledge to influence new product development, guide the interpretation of psychometric assessments, and support practitioners through training, education and outreach.

Your work will directly impact how clinicians and services across the UK use assessments to identify and support children, young people and adults with neurodevelopmental and mental health conditions.

Key responsibilities

Use your clinical expertise to support the design, adaptation and validation of psychological and educational assessments
Work with authors, researchers and practitioners to guide product development from concept to launch
Assist with data collection, interpretation and review during the development of new tools
Review and enhance test materials, including administration guides, case studies and user support documents
Contribute to the creation and delivery of training materials, webinars and workshops for professionals

About you

Postgraduate qualification in Psychology (Clinical, Counselling, Forensic or Educational)
Registered with the HCPC or relevant professional body
In-depth knowledge of autism and ADHD assessment frameworks, including familiarity with tools such as ADOS, ADI-R, and Conners
Experience in or interest in psychometric test development, adaptation or training delivery
Strong understanding of assessment and formulation within NHS, CAMHS, or education settings
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with confidence presenting to professional audiences

You must be:

HCPC registration
Enrolled or interested in post-doctoral training in Clinical Neuropsychology
Experience of clinical practice within a neurological service setting at a pre or post-qualification level
Band 8a candidates will require experience in carrying out and interpreting neuropsychological assessments
Well-developed communication skills and the ability to effectively deliver complex and/or clinically sensitive information to patients, their families, carers, and colleagues
Evidence of continuing professional development as recommended by the BPS
Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS

Job Purpose

Working as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality psychological assessments, formulating individualised treatment plans, and providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions. You will be responsible for:

As a Clinical Psychologist, you’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team, delivering assessments and therapeutic interventions to service users with brain injury and complex neurological conditions. Your work will be instrumental in creating and guiding personalised rehabilitation plans to promote independence and recovery.

Your impact:

Conduct psychological assessments to understand the needs of each individual and develop tailored care plans that address their unique challenges
Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, helping service users adjust to life-changing injuries or conditions and reach their full potential
Evaluate the effectiveness of individual and group treatment programmes
Collaborate with a diverse, interdisciplinary team of clinicians to ensure holistic care that integrates physical and psychological rehabilitation
Support families and carers, giving them the tools and understanding to help their loved ones recover and thrive
Play an integral role in the continuous development of a service that changes lives, contributing your expertise to service improvement initiatives

You must be:

Current HCPC registration
Experience or an evident and demonstrable interest in neuropsychology and/or behavioural interventions
Ability to create a trusting therapeutic relationship that empowers service users in their recovery
Passion for multidisciplinary teamwork and delivering holistic care.
Commitment to making a difference in the lives of service users and their families.
Successful candidates will be required to undergo and Enhanced DBS
