Our client, an award-winning, independent provider of psychological and neurodevelopmental services across the UK, is seeking a Team Manager to oversee their growing service based in Gosforth. Renowned for their NHS partnerships and medico-legal work, this is a brilliant opportunity to influence clinical outcomes, shape service delivery and provide operational leadership at a pivotal level.

Key Responsibilities

As Team Manager, you’ll oversee the day-to-day running of a busy multidisciplinary team, ensuring excellence in service delivery and clinical standards.

Your role will involve:

  • Leading a multidisciplinary team including Psychologists, SLTs, OTs, Paediatricians and Assistant Psychologists

  • Acting as the first point of contact for operational and clinical issues

  • Ensuring appropriate clinical leadership on all assessment cases and smooth case progression

  • Monitoring service KPIs, clinical outcomes and contractual obligations

  • Offering guidance and mentorship to new starters and supporting ongoing professional development

  • Managing case allocations and clinician availability to ensure service capacity is maintained

  • Contributing to quality assurance, governance and service improvement initiatives

  • Liaising with senior management on performance and strategy

  • Identifying skill gaps and facilitating relevant training

  • Driving innovation within the service, enhancing tools, systems and clinical quality

What We're Looking For

Applicants should be:

  • HCPC registered (Practitioner Psychologist, SLT or OT)

  • NMC registered (Mental Health or Learning Disability Nurse)

  • Or a suitably trained and experienced Neurodevelopmental Practitioner

You will also need:

  • Experience delivering Autism and/or ADHD assessments for children or adults

  • Background in neurodevelopmental or mental health clinical settings

  • Strong understanding of DSM-5 criteria and standardised tools (e.g. ADOS-2, ADI-R; QB desirable)

  • Prior experience in team leadership or service management

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Confidence working collaboratively within an MDT structure
