Location: Exeter, Devon – Face-to-face (F2F) with hybrid working options
Contract: Part-time and full-time considered

  • Psychologists: Up to £74,000

  • OTs, SLTs, Nurses, Social Workers, ND Practitioners: Up to £63,000

We are currently recruiting for Neurodevelopmental Practitioners to join an award-winning independent psychology and neurodevelopmental service. The organisation delivers NHS-commissioned Autism and ADHD assessments and is expanding its team.

Candidates must have experience working with children, young people or adults with neurodevelopmental conditions, and be familiar with multidisciplinary Autism and ADHD assessments following NICE guidelines.

You’ll join a dynamic and supportive team comprising Clinical Psychologists, Neurodevelopmental Practitioners, SLTs, Nurses, CAMHS Specialists, Assistant Psychologists and Support Workers. Full clinical supervision and ongoing training are included.

Main Duties

You will undertake face-to-face Neurodevelopmental Assessments (Autism and ADHD) for children and/or adults as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Activities may include (depending on background and training, with support available as needed):

  • Developmental/parental interviews (e.g. ADI-R, ACE, ACE+, Young DIVA)

  • 1:1 play-based or activity sessions

  • ADOS-2 assessments

  • Cognitive assessments

  • QB testing

  • School observations and professional liaison

  • Additional psychometric testing

  • Team meetings and multidisciplinary discussions

  • Neurodevelopmental screening

  • Writing full and summary assessment reports


Person Specification

Report Writing & Record Keeping

Essential:

  • Strong report writing and record-keeping skills
    Desirable:

  • Experience writing ND assessment reports

  • Familiarity with patient note or CRM systems

IT Skills

Essential:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Experience with clinical/practice management systems

Communication & Interpersonal Skills

Essential:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a supportive, empathetic approach

  • Ability to clearly communicate assessment outcomes

  • Confident working within a multidisciplinary team

Qualifications

Essential:

  • HCPC registration (or pending)

Desirable:

  • ADOS and ADI-R training

  • Experience with Young DIVA or other structured ND assessment tools

Organisational Skills

Essential:

  • Strong time management and ability to meet KPIs and deadlines
