Job Title: Consultant in Rehabilitation & Medical Director
Location: Bristol, South West England
Full time/Part time: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Rate: Up to £190,000 + £30,000 Welcome Bonus

About the Service
Our client operates a renowned specialist neurorehabilitation centre that serves the South West region, a offering comprehensive care for patients with acquired brain injuries and complex neurological conditions. The service provides interdisciplinary care through a highly skilled team and cutting-edge technology, ensuring outstanding rehabilitation outcomes.
The centre is part of a larger national network of rehabilitation facilities and collaborates closely with local NHS services to deliver patient-centred care.
Main Duties
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Lead a multidisciplinary team in patient assessments and rehabilitation care.
- Deliver evidence-based treatment in line with national standards and guidelines.
- Attend ward rounds, family meetings, case reviews and discharge planning sessions.
- Supervise and mentor junior doctors, fostering their professional development.
- Liaise with local healthcare providers and external stakeholders to enhance patient care pathways.
- Prepare for external reviews, including compliance inspections and quality assurance evaluations.
Management Responsibilities:
- Participate in clinical governance meetings with a focus on quality improvement, safety and training.
- Oversee medical staff recruitment, training and on-call rota management.
- Contribute to service development through research, innovation and local audits.
- Engage with national networks to promote service excellence and knowledge sharing.
- Represent the service in external engagements with regulators and healthcare providers.
Medical Director Responsibilities (Optional):
- Co-lead the Senior Management Team alongside other leadership roles.
- Develop and implement CPD programmes for multi-professional staff.
- Chair the Medical Advisory Committee and support governance and strategic planning.

Qualifications
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practice.
- MRCP qualification (essential).
- CCT in Rehabilitation Medicine (essential).
- Experience in inpatient neurorehabilitation (desirable).
